Financial Services
The Kamis team in Connecticut has worked with several mid-market financial services clients in the New England region. A recent project included deployment of a three-person Software Development team in the Microsoft Stack. This financial services company upgraded their Microsoft Systems with the latest .Net MVC architecture. Upon completion of the project, the client was so pleased with the Kamis’ development team that two of our three consultants were hired full time.

Kamis has been working closely with a startup SaaS company in Connecticut in the healthcare industry. Kamis has placed Devops Engineers, Full Stack Software Developers, and Software Quality Assurance Engineers with this organization. The results of the new development that our team provided enabled better clinical insights through the normalization, cleansing, de-duplication and enrichment of medical data.

This client works with Kamis on a contract-to-hire basis; this allows them to evaluate the candidate's performance on the job and allows both sides to determine if a long term fit will be mutually beneficial.
Managed Services
Kamis has a long standing relationship with a leading managed services provider in the greater DC area. When the need arises for additional resources, they have called on Kamis time and time again. We have acted as a "virtual bench" with certain skill sets, so that when qualified candidates are needed with quick turnaround, we are able to meet the demand of their customers. Recently, we assisted them on a project with a local law enforcement agency by supplying six mobile device support consultants on a six month pilot program.
Biotech
Kamis has worked with several different organizations in helping them to fill key roles in the area of data science. These individuals performed ETL functions (Extraction, Transformation, and Loading) of clinical trial datasets into a relational database, curated normalize clinically-relevant data for consumption by research scientists, created and document logic for ETL process using clinical study protocols, datasets, and research tools, and collaborated with other data scientists, clinical scientists, bioinformaticians, and software engineers.

Kamis was able to staff a critical and crucial technology skill position (eSubmitter) that is unique to the FDA. eSubmitter is a desktop tool which utilizes XML to deliver questionnaires of varying size and complexity. Our consultant functioned as an Analyst and to a lesser extent, a Developer who was able to manipulate and understand XML and build and develop questionnaires using the eSubmitter tool.

Veterans Affairs
For Veteran Affairs, Kamis supported the Office of Information Technology with technical services for the analysis and recommendation of improved processes, products and documentation for the agency’s HSPD-12 PIV systems. Kamis had a team of three engineers who analyzed and made recommendations in compliance with the Federal and agency-level HSPD-12 regulations. We performed troubleshooting and problem-solving on the various applications that comprise the HSPD-12 PIV system. We worked with the service delivery and engineering team to provide analysis, evaluation and successful operation and implementation of HSPD-12 across the agency’s credentialing offices. We traveled to Federal sites for on-site analysis and monitoring of HSPD-12 PIV credentialing installation. On this same contract we also provided Project support which included: travel planning, making/changing travel arrangements, coordinating and scheduling with travelers, requesting travel approvals, tracking all travel and preparing travel and trip reports, as well as preparing travel expense reports and analyzing for appropriate expenses.
Kamis provided an IT Security Acquisitions Specialist to support the Office of Information Security within Veterans Affairs. Our consultant assisted in the analysis, development, monitoring of IT contracts for information security goods and services. Our consultant was an expert with IT security research and analysis, and was responsible for the writing of documents to support the acquisition strategy, approach and implementation of IT security requirements applied to contracts at the VA.
For the Office of Veteran Affairs, Kamis supported the Office of Information Technology by performing Technical Writing duties for a project to provide transformation/ mentoring of their software development organization. Our Technical Writer assisted the team effort, as follows: assessed the current state of the software development team in terms of people, processes and technology; identified over-arching goals and specific objectives for transformation to maximize effectiveness; developed an integrated mentoring plan for achieving the goals of transformation; implemented the approved plan to include travel and on-site communication, training, mentoring and related; finalized with an assessment and report of the impact of the transformation mentoring project.
Defence Security Service
Kamis provided a team of migration engineers for the Defense Security Service (DSS) IT Services Support contract. Our team performed 70+ data migrations. Following DoD standard operating procedures, we performed upgrades to a Federal distributed 2003 Windows system to a 2007 Windows system. Our team was responsible for group policy updates, Security Policy updates, software upgrades/patches, installation of new software, running batch files, installation of PKI certification to clients stations, addition/removal of clients from the Active Directory, setting up blackberries, printers, and drivers. Or team also maintained system documentation, tweaked system performance, and installed system wide software and mass storage space for the client.
Kamis placed two Java, J2EE, Weblogic developers with an integrator supporting Customs and Border Patrol. These Developers worked on complex application problems involving all phases of software development and maintenance. The developers analyzed requirements and developed detailed design specifications, developed block diagrams and logic flowcharts, and translated detailed designs to computer programs. The developers coded, tested, debugged, and refined software or made enhancements to existing programs to produce the required product.
Customs Border Patrol
Kamis successfully recruited for an integrator supporting the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers District Far East (EDFE), a Project Manager who provided network engineering and readiness support services at the Far East District Compound located in Seoul, South Korea.
U.S. Army Corps of Engineers
Kamis’ Business Analyst at the Department of Education was required to provide analytical and support services for its operating committee. This senior executive level committee is responsible for ensuring that it meets its business performance targets in accordance with its strategic plan and operational initiatives. Kamis’ analyst conducted analysis, interpreted the data, and reported the results and findings in management reports for review and consideration by this committee.
For the Department of Agriculture, Kamis’ Enterprise Architect served as an adviser regarding the overall Enterprise Architecture Program. Our consultant was the primary advisor and support consultant to the Chief Enterprise Architect. His services included providing analytical support and delivery of EA policies, standards, and governance documents.
For the Department of Labor, Kamis’ Acquisition Support Analyst was responsible for PMO support and acquisition plan development. Our personnel was responsible for cost benefit analysis, economic analysis, DLCM documentation, development and maintenance, and CPIC documentation, development and maintenance. In addition, she also developed and maintained Exhibits 300 and 53.
For the Department of Labor, Kamis supplied a CIO advisory consultant who provided management consulting services within federal IT investment frameworks, enterprise projects, and complex IT Project Management issues in accordance with federal laws, regulations and procedures. Our consultant was responsible for developing and implementing a shared service chargeback model, provided infrastructure/technology integration and consolidation support, organizational realignment consulting, and enterprise services integration plan development.
For the Department of Labor, two Kamis Project Managers oversaw and managed business analysts, daily operations, and client/customer relationships. Our PM’s were also responsible for the quality of deliverables, and developed, monitored, and reported on project objectives, budget, and schedule status and performance. We also managed the technical, contractual, administrative, and financial aspects of the project(s) as assigned.
Kamis was able to assist a government integrator client by filling two key, difficult job openings on their CyberSecurity team at a DoD facility in Miami, FL: the U.S. Southern Command (SOUTHCOM).These candidates are responsible for providing support in multiple facets of Information Assurance (IA) Certification and Accreditation (C&A), such as testing and auditing of DoD networks, and assisting with writing/reviewing local policies.Requirements for this position included strong knowledge of information security principles, DoD networks, standards, and systems, DoD Risk Management Framework to include DIACAP processing, Federal Information Security Management Act-FISMA, DoD directives and policies (DoD 8500 series; CJCSM 6510 series). They also needed to possess experience auditing and documentation systems using DISA auditing tools, Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS), DISA STIG, and SCAP tools; as well as experience with EMASS processing of C&A packages to include managing and maintaining required artifacts, such as network diagrams and local system security plans. Candidates were also required to hold a current Top Secret clearance and possess the ability to travel internationally.
